About
Whether It Rains is the songwriting / production duo of Bobby Loux and Patrick Wilkerson. Friends since the age of 5, they started playing and performing music together since their early teenage years. With Bobby on the drum kit and Patrick playing lead guitar, their early bands were heavily influenced by progressive and hard rock bands such as Rush, Kansas, and UFO. Bobby eventually emerged as their lead vocalist and with the addition of keyboards, their musical influences and songwriting shifted towards bands such as Journey, Foreigner, and Styx.
They enjoyed limited success with their bands,
Crossfire, Ajents, and T-minus-5. However, they
never seemed to catch “the break” all musicians seek and eventually the dream began to fade.
After several years of other life pursuits and some independent musical ventures, they reunited for a performance in 2022 with former bandmates. This inspired them to rekindle the flame and they began to write and produce some new material. Even though they are still influenced by their early roots, they now both enjoy a wide range of musical genres. Moving forward, they hope to share a unique catalog of songs with the world and hopefully inspire their listeners for years to come.
